Consumer Spending Update: Economic Confidence Remains High

The Rasmussen Reports Economic Index dropped to 140.5 in April, down two points from last month but still ranking with 2018’s highs.

The survey of 1,500 American Adults was conducted on April 1-2, 2019 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 2.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
