Americans Are Starting Their Holiday Shopping Early This Year

Americans are jumping the gun on holiday shopping this year, with nearly half who say they’ve already started even before Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals hit.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 47% of American Adults have already started their holiday gift shopping before Thanksgiving, up from 40% this time last year  and the highest number of early shoppers since Rasmussen Reports began asking this question in 2006.  Just as many (49%) have not started their shopping yet.
