Few Think U.S. Has Best Tax System in the World

As Tax Day draws near, Americans are feeling better about the U.S. tax system than they have in the past, but half still believe they’re paying more than their fair share of taxes.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 18% of American Adults think the United States has the best tax system in the world, though that’s more than double the eight percent (8%) who said the same two years ago and the highest finding since 2010. Since 2013, the number that felt the U.S. tax system was best never broke double-digits. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
