Americans Are Getting A Head Start on Holiday Shopping

Americans aren’t waiting for Thanksgiving to be done to start their holiday shopping, and a growing number say they plan on opening their wallets wider this year than in years past.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 44% of American Adults have already started their holiday gift shopping. That’s down slightly from last year’s all-time high of 47%,  but higher than findings from previous surveys dating back to 2006. Fifty-three percent (53%) have not started their shopping yet.
