Voters Fear Worsening Syria Relationship Will Lead to Russia Conflict

In the wake of the United States’ downing of a Syrian warplane, voters believe this is just the beginning of a situation that will get worse and could result in direct military conflict with Russia.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 71% of Likely U.S. Voters are at least somewhat concerned that the current situation in Syria will bring the United States into direct military conflict with Russia, including 30% who are Very Concerned. Twenty-five percent (25%) are not concerned a military conflict will arise between the United States and Russia, with just three percent (3%) who are Not At All Concerned.
