73% Share Trump’s Pride in America’s ‘Epic’ Past

Democrats and many in the media have been highly critical of the July 4 celebration President Trump hosted in Washington, DC, but voters strongly share the rosy view of America and the U.S. military that the president honored that day.

Seventy-three percent (73%) of Likely U.S. Voters agree with Trump’s statement in his July 4 speech that “together we are part of one of the greatest stories ever told – the story of America. It is the epic tale of a great nation whose people have risked everything for what they know is right.” The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that just 12% disagree with the president’s statement, while slightly more (15%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
