Most Say Feds Should ‘Buy, Hire American’ Even If It Costs More

Voters are all for President Trump’s order to federal agencies this week to “aggressively promote and use American-made goods and to ensure that American labor is hired to do the job,” even though many suspect it will cost taxpayers more.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 72% of Likely U.S. Voters favor the order to the federal government to buy American and hire American. Just 15% are opposed, while 13% are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
