Democrats See House Control, Not Trump, As Bigger Factor in 2020

Voters give President Trump the edge over the new Democratic-controlled House of Representatives when it comes to which will be more beneficial to the next Democratic presidential candidate, but Democrats themselves see the House as a bigger factor.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 40% of all Likely U.S. Voters think Trump's record in office will help the next Democratic presidential candidate. Thirty-one percent (31%) say his record will hurt the opposing nominee instead, while 20% feel it will have no impact. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
