Most Democrats Want Pelosi Out, New Face As Speaker

If the Democrats win control of the House of Representatives in today’s midterm elections, most in the party—and voters in general—want to see former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi out.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 51% of Likely Democratic Voters think the Democrats should choose someone new as speaker if they win the House. Thirty-four percent (34%) of Democrats think their party should elect former Speaker Pelosi again, but 16% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
