Americans Praise Veterans Day, Military Service for the Young

Most Americans give high marks to Veterans Day, the holiday that honors military service, and think time spent in the military is good for young people.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online surveys shows that 51% of American Adults rate Veterans Day, celebrated today, as one of our nation’s most important holidays. Only six percent (6%) consider it one of the least important, while 40% view it as somewhere in between. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
