87% Are On Track to File Taxes By Tomorrow’s Deadline

Americans are closing in on tomorrow's Tax Day deadline at a pace comparable to the last couple years, with one-in-10 waiting to the last minute. 

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 76% of American Adults have already filed their income taxes, up from 52% three weeks ago. Forty-five percent (45%) had already filed by late February,  with 42% more who planned to file by the April 18 deadline. 

Eleven percent (11%) haven't filed yet but still plan to meet tomorrow's deadline. Five percent (5%) say they'll get an extension. Seven percent (7%) remain undecided even at this late date. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
